I think Maiden got more progressive, right? They were never as commercial as Priest got, they stayed true to themselves
I remember in high school in the mid ‘80’s these kids I knew would argue Maiden vs Priest
They were in 10th grade and already on the way to being alcoholics
Bye the looks of the hairstyles this was probably from the 80’s !
Just came across this .
I’ve never seen it before and thought I would share it .
I don’t want to divert the thread but found it interesting.
Dont forget when he started out with the Prophets...
Seriously though, great pick. I love his music myself when he was in Rainbow, Black Sabbeth and Dio.

You gotta be ****ing kidding me.
Obituary - Cause Of Death 1990
Entombed - Left Hand Path 1990
Deicide - Deicide 1990
DEATH - Spiritual Healing 1990
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption 1990
I lived in the Tampa area at that time and even assisted on some of the Death Metal records of the late 90s at Morrisound
I liked Death but Leprosy was better than Spiritual Healing come on.
Besides. I’m taking about more mainstream metal. Not the Death Metal scene. That’s more of a niche market.
Man...those first two albums though..
I think it was the idiots I hung out with that killed it for me. LOL
“Come on dude you don’t really worship satan you’re not fooling anyone. Here drink this goats blood. Let’s see how serious you are”
My buddy was at the party where Glen burned the cross into his forehead. He said it was retarded
He said Glen was like “ohhh it feels so gooooood”. LOL
It’s hard to take that seriously
At least cannibal corpse was sorta funny.
Not 80s but .... you’re welcome
Not metal. A rock band. But this was a great album.
Hair Nation on Sirius XM kinda made me listen to Kix in a new light.
Is that stupid ?
Does anyone remember how huge Slippery When Wet was when It came out? It was sorta like how Pearl Jam 10 took over the radio If I recall correctly. People knock Bon Jobi but that’s a great record for it’s time
While not metal, metal but I never knew why these 2 bands weren't more successful than they were.
I liked LA Guns much better than Guns and Roses and Phil Lewis' voice was much easier on my ears.
Great Radio Controversy in my opinion is just a great album top to bottom.
Had both bands not got some notoriety for their ballads they would have basically gone unnoticed because it was all about the ballad in the late 80s.
