What company in the US handles guitars the best in your opinion? Who do you trust and why?

I’ve shipped and received both ups and fedex with no issues.

    HSC, maybe.
Double boxed with no case, maybe.

Never purchased from a company with shipping except GC used. All of them were in great shape.

I just got one from @Lonn last week and he shipped it USPS. As long as it's Packed well we had no issues. I had another shipped to me througb USPS and it wasn't packed well and I had to do some repair work to it.

I've shipped 3 guitars across the US via UPS Ground, no issues. They were all in HSC's, shipped inside guitar boxes with logos on boxes obscured.

I think any of the four major shippers in the US can do it adequately. Whoever it is, trust but verify.

Fed Ex. I’ve had a time or two where UPS damaged a guitar case. They broke the handle off a brand new case I ordered.

They’re all good until they aren’t. So just make sure it’s insured for a lot and expertly packed.

I've had my best luck with United Parcel Service.
Federal Express and United States Postal Service can and will completely destroy a package. And the USPS will take FOREVER to destroy your package. In fact, you're better off walking cross country to pick up your package, and carry it all the way back home.

I prefer USPS and FedEx, but as stated, the real key is packing. Though I did receive a case that UPS punched a hole clear through, once.

all shipping companies policies state - " we get paid to get it there, packing it correctly is up to someone else"

If you opt for insurance at the right value you dont have to worry about shipping damage too much. I always insure valuable shipments. No worries that way.

if the guitar can sling around inside of a hard case it can still get damaged no matter how well the case is packaged.

i bought a used tele with a generic hard case on ebay. when i got it, the neck pickup cover and a fret had dents and scratches from the strings as the guitar was loose in the case and was just bouncing around inside it the whole time traveling.

there was not a scratch on the well packed case thougho_O
