No hate here. Out of my 28 strats 10 of them are sunburst. Wood grain and different degrees of bursting makes them unique.

I found myself explaining to the wife who Alfred E. Neuman was. We were watching TV, and there was a guy that I said looked just like Alfred E. She said "who?"

28 Strats? You should win some award here for that!

I hope you don’t have to adjust the truss rod on most of them during seasonal climate changes. Yikes!

The "clownburst" or "target" paint jobs that are much maligned might actually look pretty good in person. It's hard to accurately reproduce any attractively painted guitar in a photograph, all the more so with a burst pattern. Any stunning guitar can be made to look hideous with a poor photo, such as most any pic that I take with my cell phone. In my experience, most bursts look pretty good in person. Not necessarily to my taste, but I mean they're not as clownish or targety as we see so often online.

They are all pretty stable and we do not encounter to extreme temp/humidity changes. They do get tune ups as needed but that's not often.
Although I do have a tele that has developed fret sprouts after I hung it on the wall to close to a heat source.

    Woodgrain, yes
    Bookmatch look, definitely.
Alas, never a burst. Maybe, someday.

Looks good. It looks like non CB to me. My 2016 traditional is very similar.

The clown burst is not my thing.
I much prefer the early two-colour if it has to be a burst.

But for me any solid coloured finish is preferential to a burst.

It's only a personal thing, not sure why people make it out to be such an extreme controversy.

I think the clownburst thing requires a fully opaque yellow base coat and then the burst. Yours shows some nice grain. I like it too.

I went on a spree a couple of weeks ago. They're all gone but a couple may be replaced this weekend if I'm not too lazy to do a little driving.

I'd say no - doesn't have the hard demarcation between colors like a "classic" clownburst - yours is much nicer.
