I don't celebrate birthdays, but I got the best card from SWMBO.
    A quote from Mark Twain:
"Too much of anything is bad, but too much Good Whiskey is barely enough"

Rather than an accompanying bottle, there was a gift voucher inside for our local Music store for five hundred bucks.
Just awesome. Then I thought... She opted out of five hundred bucks worth of good whiskey...
and I have NFI what I'm going to use it towards... yet.
    Win-win?

Canadians keep the good stuff to themselves. A friend of mine from Vancouver meet up with me in Atlanta. He bought a bottle with him. REALLY good stuff. 'Yep', he said. 'You are not going to get this in the States. Us Canadians horde it.'

With the COVID lockdown still a bit of a pervasive thing, the idea of partaking in a single malt at midday as well as it being appealing and acceptable behaviour, is alarming.

Crown Royal is good but I don’t know how it compares to the American stuff honestly. I partake more in the green stuff anyways. Haha

We have access to a lot of Canadian blends down here, R&R, Black Velvet, Canadian Club, Canadian Mist, but, I.cry foul. Only those with medical card's have the ability to get the green stuff, legally. :(

That's how the ROTW see us normally. When we're 3 sheets to the wind we look like that to ourselves, and the right way up to you lot ;)

Never was much of a whiskey drinker, navy rum or single malt scotch were my choices for the hard stuff. Reached my life time quota of red wine and booze so I’ve not had a drop of alcohol for about 10 years, but I am glad the green is legal up here.
