Fender made an MIM Classic Series Strat in Shell Pink, but they’re uncommon and command a premium price compared to the usual.

Oh, heavens no! There shall be no p*nk, anywhere in my life! In fact,
    • I will only refer to my smallest digit as "my little finger."
    • I won't play songs by P*nk Floyd.
    • I won't play songs by The Clash or The Sex Pistols because the word "punk" is uncomfortably close to the word "p*nk."
    • I boycott Henry Mancini music as well as all Peter Sellers and Steve Martin films as retribution for their roles in making "The P*nk Panther" famous.
    • I once kicked Heavyweight Champ P*nklon Thomas's a$$ just for having "p*nk" in his name.
    upload_2019-12-3_11-10-14.jpeg
    • And, obviously, I much preferred Leather Tuscadero to her sister.
I would NOT gig a p*nk guitar, but mostly because no one in their right mind would invite me to gig in the first place. :D

(*This is satire. Please don't tell Pinklon that I said this, and please don't send him to my house.)

My local GC has one, but alas I’m broke. Paid bills and paid off Christmas presents today.

One spot above the pickguard is from a piece of solder that landed on it. The neck came that way when I bought it a few years ago. Looks like a beaver chewed on the edges.

The top heal I sanded to try and show some of the sunburst underneath. I am intentionally not gentle with it. This is the only one of the zillion guitars and basses I've owned that I've done any intentional relicing on.

yep. I have a 98 US Standard, the edge of the fretboard are the same as that - the poly is super brittle. Doesn't bother me too much, so I've left it as is, if it flakes more i'll strip it and refinish it.

Doesn’t bother me, either. In fact, I think it makes it look tough.

Some righteous tone here, after he gets off the pedal.

If it made me play any better I'd rock a fluorescent pink one. I don't care what anyone thinks. I really don't like shell pink but every once in a while I see one that's aged a little closer to tangerine and I think it looks awesome.

Is that a custom job or did they seriously come like that? Strat body, single bridge humbucker, and volume knob only? Only thing missing for a Hello Kitty Van Halen tribute is a Floyd! :D

I'm not keen, but not because some knucklehead thinks it's "girly". I just don't like the colour, just like I don't like surf green or olympic white. I prefer less pastel colours generally.

As to the girliness question - that's the daftest, most patronising thing ever. It's up there with the whole "shrink it and pink it" approach to selling guitars to women. Although, I must confess the Les Paul Goddess range looks great. There are some awesome finishes, and they did the commonsense thing of having only master volume and tone. Yes, it might be patronising to be saying "we don't think women can handle separate controls per pickup", but I actually think that's an improvement all players can benefit from.

OK, I've gone tangential. TL;DR: shell-pink bad, brighter/darker colours good.

The very rare Titty Pink:p I love the patina as the color ages, it is now a coral pink. You can see the original color below.
