Exactly! Strange thing is that the question gets different responses depending on whether it’s phrased ‘would you play…………’ or ‘would you be seen playing’.

I began loving natural finish Strats in the 1970s when I heard a good bar band play rock and blues using one. I ask you folks to picture some one playing classic hard rock / metal on a natural-finish Strat...white pickguard, maple or rosewoon fretboard. Would it strike you as odd ?? Yes, i'm serious.

I'd play hard rock on a Strat spray painted flat black. As long as it stays in tune, Whack that baby!
