With a little more distortion and a little more reverb I could really get an idea of what the guitar sounds like.
Say what you want about Yngwie but he follows the beat to his own drum.
I just thought it was cool to hear the entire Led Zepplin catalog played in under a minute.
Honestly he is a brilliant player and def does his own thing so you can't argue with that. Plus he has sold a couple more records than me.
Yes, he just about did that.
Positive input: Yngwie plays like Yngwie, regardless of the guitar. That's impressive, I suppose, as is his technical excellence.
Negative input: Yngwie has never played anything I've heard that made me want to listen to it again, and that includes the album I bought years ago.
I'm not a 'hater', it's just not my kind of playing.
The man,the myth,the legend.
Very True Simon, Music is as such, its what the Individual Likes or does not
Agree in spades! I can take him for about 2 minutes.
However, I do think he should be in the rock n roll hall of fame. Impressive player, influential, and even though he channels the spirit of Spinal Tap in his persona he hasn't given in to what's popular. Sticks to his guns and doesn't care who likes him or not. He would irritate the crap out of the Hall and that's what rock n roll used to be.
Agreed There are still quite a few songs on my Rotation from YJM
I remember when Rising Force came out , it was a game changer for sure which is why i give Props to him, he's not in my top 5 or even top 10 favorite players but damn the man sure can play
Blackstar is still one of My favorite Instrumentals
It would have been amazing if he tore into Aeolian mode with a souped-up Achilles Last Stand
naw... just needs more compression.
His cover of Deep Purple's "Pictures Of Home" is a soaring tribute to Blackmoor
Yngwie Malmsteen – Pictures Of Home
Thanks for sharing the video. I miss those good old days when shred ruled. Yngwie was "it" for me and my friends then.
Sounds like Yngwie to me. I'd like to have his chops
Sounds like Yngwie! Killing it!!!
i remember when this came out... the style was so cool.and bonnet vocals were killer... his speed, tone but especially his phrasing was great.. his best playing by far IMO
He was voted #3 best rock singer on another forum ( obviously Dio #1, Dickinson #2 )
Pretty great for a guy that always acts like a tosser on stage.
Did someone mention Dio and Yngwie
I must be a weirdo. I really enjoyed that little Tele excursion. Amazed and amused at his economical right hand technique.
So yall gonna go rag on Paganini?
I swear I never see/hear drummers listen to or watch a vid of someone with super chops and then gripe about it.
