I gotta go with Jimmy Page.

There are so many great ones, but Page was the reason I started playing the guitar.

Just for the sake of brevity I'll go with three current ones

    Robben Ford
    Warren Haynes
    Lari Basilio

Recently, it’s become John Osborne of Brothers Osborne who is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever seen!

So many already mentioned. Hard to choose one. So since no one has mentioned him yet I’ll throw Ace Frehley’s name out there

Clapton, Fru, Gilmour, Blackmore, Malmsteen, Bucket, Marty Friedman, Murray-Smith-Geers, Meola, Mclaughlin, Metheny, Beck ..that's like forever list..but it's boring to hear them on and on, again and again and again..

But recently a guy called Michael Lemmo gets the most of my interest in guitar playing. He is mostly known on youtube, presenting Norm's guitars, but the way he does it, it's something new..yes he sometimes plays all those boring riffs we did and heard zillion times, but when he starts playing his own stuff, man, that's something fresh, unusual and interesting. Fusion of styles.

Also that one from Khruangbin, Mark Speeer, has interesting sounds.

Oh, hell yeah! I saw him at the pilgrimage festival last month. The man melted faces!
One thing I noticed was that even though he’s seen playing Gibson guitars most, he picked up a Strat, and sounded equally great, but different. The guy knows how to let his guitars speak in their own language. I was blown away by him. Best performance of the two day fest.
