I bought a brand new Fender Stratocaster body on eBay from the famed Stratophereparts reseller. They used to be online at Stratophereparts.com. But it seems they are only on eBay now.
However, I bought the body back in November 24th 2023. And just a few days ago I notice out of no where two pin holes opened up on the body. The diameter of a tooth pick. Does anyone have any idea how they formed?

I cannot imagine that is an ash body- painted solid color when ash is coveted & a more expensive optional wood, but that certainly does look like the escape hole of a larvae insect.

EDIT: I stand corrected, that is in fact an ash body.
From the Fender website...
"The guitar is offered in three classic colors over ash: Aged Natural, Lake Placid Blue and Mocha, the latter being the first custom color ever to feature a black pickguard on a Strat"

Looking at exit holes of emerald ash borer, not one of them are a perfect circle like the holes in the photo. Those are more like a drill bit than an exit hole.

So you’ve had this 4 months. Did you notice these holes or dimples in the finish at all? A drill bit? Did you drill into it or did a friend borrow your guitar and drill into it. Makes no logical sense. These weren’t plugged at the factory and the plugs finally fell out. Something worked its way through the wood and the finish.

I know it sounds hilarious but a drill bit hole? Sure that’s exactly what it looks like but when did that happen? 4 months go by and they just appeared? It’s impossible when you think out it. The finish just fell out in two perfect circles. There’s no way those holes were there and it was painted over. You could not build up enough paint to fill those holes. Something came out of body.
